Located in the heart of Lewes (East Sussex), Barons Down is a long-established independent nursing and dementia nursing care home registered for 30 residents all in large single ensuite bedrooms. Many of our rooms overlook the South Downs and have picturesque outlooks.

We offer residential nursing care services for people looking for a kind and caring home. Our centrally located Lewes care home provides a safe, loving and affectionate environment. We deliver person-centred care for each and every resident via our long-serving and well-trained staff. We focus and ensure that all of our residents continue to benefit from choice and most importantly – retain their dignity.
Barons Down has been beautifully renovated recently and has a sensory garden.
Our Care
Residential Nursing Care
We specialise in providing Residential Nursing Care. With fully trained and registered nurses on site throughout the day, we provide specialist nursing care in a homely environment.
Residential Nursing Dementia Care
Alongside Residential Nursing Care, we also specialise in Dementia Nursing Care. All our staff undertake specialist Dementia Training and we have an inhouse Dementia Trainer. We have a dedicated Dementia Wing and a Sensory Garden.
Residential Care
We are also able to provide residential & dementia residential care. People in our care would have the benefit of trained nurses on site when they need more specialist nursing interventions.
